Timo Werner missed a sitter for the second back to back Chelsea game in succession in the Blues' Champions League tie against Rennes on Tuesday night.
In the initial trades of the game, the German striker terminated miles over the bar from inside the six-yard box when totally plain after Callum Hudson-Odoi had placed a splendid cross into the punishment territory.
The striker was condemned by BT Sport intellectual Peter Crouch over the miss, with the ex-England striker applauding the ball in from Hudson-Odoi.

The possibility follows Werner's staggering miss against Newcastle toward the end of the week, when he got a pass from Tammy Abraham in the container yet opened wide under no weight at St James' Park.
Fortunately for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, the Blues got a 2-0 win against the Magpies throughout the end of the week, with Werner making a splendid help for Abraham for the Blues' subsequent objective.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount uncovered a week ago that the 24-year-old should be stricter on his completing as Lampard's side seek him for goalscoring motivation.
Britain midfielder Mount told the authority Chelsea site: 'I said to Timo in the principal a large portion of, "that is an objective for you, you have to score them" since I've seen them go in all day every day in preparing.
'He's a top player and he should be cruel on himself to score those. He realizes that and, on the off chance that it comes one week from now, he'll set it aside.'

Werner had a productive record in Germany, netting multiple times in 153 games for Leipzig with 34 of them coming last season alone.
